Born and educated in Ukraine, Lara Gelya spent two decades navigating the rugged terrain of the mining industry in the Kyzylkum Desert of Uzbekistan. Now enjoying her retirement in Florida, she remains as active as ever, filling her days with gardening, cooking, and travelling.
